This policy explains how iVet Animal Clinic (“we”, “us”) handles personal data in connection with this website, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus data-protection law.

The short version

This is an information website. It has no contact form, no account system and no analytics or advertising trackers. We only receive personal data when you choose to contact us, and the embedded map loads from Google only after you click it.

When you contact us

If you call, send a WhatsApp message, email us or write via our social pages, we process the details you provide (such as your name, contact details and the content of your message, which may include information about your animal) solely to respond and to arrange care.

• Purpose: answering enquiries and arranging appointments.
• Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding).
• Retention: only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and meet any record-keeping obligations, then deleted.

WhatsApp is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. If you message us on WhatsApp, your use is also governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA; EU standard contractual clauses). Technically necessary server logs (IP address, time, page requested) are processed to deliver the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Maps (only on your click)

The location map is provided by Google Ireland Ltd and is not loaded until you click to open it. When you do, your IP address and map interactions are transmitted to Google. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If you never click, no request reaches Google.

What we do not do

No Google Analytics or other analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, and no sale or marketing-sharing of your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. To exercise them, contact us using the details above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Cyprus supervisory authority, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

We keep cookies and local storage to the strict minimum. This site sets no analytics and no advertising cookies.

What is stored

• Strictly necessary / functional: a small preference in your browser remembers your chosen language and your decision to load the map. This is not used to track you and never leaves your browser.
• Google Maps (consent-based): the map is embedded with a click-to-load placeholder. Google may set its own cookies, but only after you choose to load the map. Until then, nothing is requested from Google.

Managing cookies

Because nothing non-essential loads without your action, there is nothing to switch off by default. You can clear stored preferences at any time through your browser settings, and you simply don’t click the map if you don’t want Google’s cookies.

Appointments

Appointment requests made by phone, WhatsApp or email are confirmed by the clinic. Submitting a request does not create a booking until we confirm it.

The text, images and design of this site belong to iVet Animal Clinic or its licensors and may not be reused without permission.

Liability

We take care to keep the information accurate and current but give no warranty that it is complete or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
